Winter

Although winters in New York City are cold and long, our members can still depend on a regular supply of locally sourced edibles. During the winter season there are four share options available:

• Produce from Windflower Farm
• Eggs from Davis Family Farm
• Maple from Davis Family Farm
• Grains from Hickory Wind Farm

• Also available: Add-on “extras” to be ordered on an a la carte basis include stone ground flours, frozen meats and seafood, honey and syrup, cheeses and milk, jams, Thanksgiving turkeys, and much more. All are sourced by Pleasant Valley Farms from small independently-run farms upstate and in neighboring Vermont. 

Our winter distributions take place monthly, on Saturdays, from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm. We distribute rain or shine or snow, out of the same outdoor community garden that we use in the summer (M’Finda Kalunga Community Garden).
