January’s distribution

Happy 2009! We have a winter share distribution tomorrow, which is Saturday, January 10th, from 12pm until 1pm. Anybody who has any combination of winter shares will have something to pick up. This includes shareholders of Windflower Farm (Ted’s box), Winter Sun Farms (frozen fruit & veggies), and Elihu Farm (eggs), as well as anybody who has ordered “extras”.

Bring a very large, sturdy bag (or two) to get your items home in. Some people prefer to bring small rolling luggage or a grocery cart.

Please let us know by this evening if you won’t be able to pick up your box, and haven’t been able to find a friend or neighbor to help you out. That way, we can either hook you up with someone on the waiting list who might be interested in buying your box off of you, or we can at least know not to wait around in the still beautiful but bitterly cold garden for someone who isn’t going to show up. Sorry but we can’t hold on to anything past 1pm; any unclaimed items remaining after distribution ends will be given away or dropped off at the Bowery Mission.

The next winter distribution (after tomorrow) will be on Saturday, February 7th; please mark your calendars!
