Extras

We offer an array of meat, poultry, fish, cheese, yogurt, maple syrup, honey, jam, bread and much more. Unlike with our regular veggie/fruit/flower/egg shares, you do not have to order and pay for these items ahead of time to cover a season-long share; these extras are available to our members on a “pay as you go” basis, during both the winter and summer season. Extras can be ordered at any time, and arrive once a month (not weekly!) and can be picked up at distribution along with the rest of your produce.

The Stanton Street CSA is partnered with a collective of farmers who make up CSA Pastured Meat and Poultry. These farmers share a strong attachment and commitment to the land and to their communities. They practice rotational grazing which encourages livestock and poultry to graze pastures efficiently and sustainably. All animals are raised with humane loving care with as few additives in their feed as possible, improving the health and well-being of both the animals and ourselves. All efforts are taken to minimize stress at slaughter time by processing the meats in nearby USDA-inspected plants, and most products never leave the farm until they are ready to be delivered to us in the garden. Consequently the products are processed fresher, spend less time in storage, and are shipped shorter distances than those available in typical markets throughout the city.

HOW TO ORDER EXTRAS

All orders must be placed online through the CSA Pastured Meat and Poultry website, and can be paid for either via PayPal or by bringing a check with you (made out to “CSA Pastured Meat and Poultry”) to distribution on the day that you pick up your items.
